FRANCE LEADS THE WAY AGAINST WASTING FOOD WITH A MANDATORY DONATE PROGRAM

Published February 8, 2016 by sheezacoldpiece

IN FRANCE, if a supermarket throws out or destroys unused food its operators could face fines of €75,000 or two years in jail. Instead the food must be donated to charities or else used for animal feed. According to The Guardian, “the law follows a grassroots campaign in France by shoppers, anti-poverty campaigners and those opposed to food waste. The campaign, which led to a petition, was started by the councillor Arash Derambarsh.” As of Wednesday the practice of throwing out unspoiled food has to stop. All grocery stores with a footprint larger than 4305 square feet will need to sign contracts with charities or face the penalties. This same law will also introduce food education programs for schools and businesses.

Food waste problem
In the video below food waste campaigner Tristram Stuart present some disturbing facts, such as:
-Globally, over 800 million go hungry.

-Globally, we waste 1/3 food produced.

-In the US, one in four Americans struggle to buy food.

-In the US, over 30% — around $160 billion worth — of food is wasted by grocery stores and their customers.

-Food production is the single largest impact we have on nature.

-Farmers can’t sell half of what they produce because of strict supermarket standards.

As consumers we buy more than we need and regularly throw away perfectly good food because of overcautious date labels.

Restaurants overproduce to ensure everything on their menus is always on hand, and portion sizes are too large resulting in a lot of leftover waste.

If America along with other countries adopts this policy against food waste, we will solve the hunger problems we currently have.  I’m not a huge fan of France,  but I must say they are very forward thinking with this initiative.

O’HENE SAVÀNT – ARTIST ON THE RISE…

I pride myself on being a superior judge of talent 😁 and when I came across O’Hene Savànt, I was awe struck and amazed.  He’s a producer, composer, writer and rapper.  This multi talented Ghanaian, will knock your socks off with his undeniable talent.  He’s light years beyond what’s being played on the radio today, and he can create any musical genre and era of music as a one man band.

When I moved to the ATL I had no team, but I didn’t let that stop me or slow me down.  I have BIG dreams that I will bring to life no matter what. I won’t be stopped.  We won’t be stopped. – O’Hene Savànt

I discovered him on Facebook and was instantly impressed, and blown away by his genius.  Enjoy the video below with a sample of some of his music, and check out his YouTube channel also.  I assure you you won’t be disappointed.

BEYONCÉ HAS CREATED CONTROVERSY WITH HER SUPERBOWL PERFORMANCE AND NEW SONG “FORMATION”

Published February 8, 2016 by sheezacoldpiece

Ooooooh Queen Bey got them folks UPSET!  People are calling for boycotts of Beyoncé and the SuperBowl for allowing her to perform her new song “Formation”.   The video has many subliminal messages which pertain to black issues in America.

Sadly, some people just can’t handle the truth, or a black woman who is proud of her heritage.  They refuse to be tolerant of a person who speaks up against injustices happening to minorities, even if it’s a subliminal message in a video.

For Chicago Code Blue among others to suggest that this is “Anti-Police Music” is beyond reaching.  A simple message saying “Stop shooting us” written on a wall, or a drowning police car referencing Hurricane Katrina, does not translate into Anti-Police.  People choose to turn this into something negative to avoid to true message of injustice that needs to be addressed.

I thank Beyoncé for her bravery with this self directed video.  Speaking up for Your people, and against injustice takes guts.  I really think Solange is starting to rub off on the Queen Bey…lol.  We need more of this from the affluent African American in America.

ATRAZINE – THE SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN PESTICIDE LINKED TO HOMOSEXUALITY IN MEN…

Published February 6, 2016 by sheezacoldpiece

We’ve heard it said before, there must be something in the water, and there most definitely is.  This scientist in the video below, Tyrone Hayes, discovered the disturbing sex change in frogs after being exposed to the Herbacide Atrazine.  This change occurred only in the male frogs, causing them to develop female organs and other disturbing characteristics.

I have always questioned the belief that people were born and on a genetic level were either inclined to be straight, gay or somewhere in-between.  With that said, I hold no judgment and don’t believe it is anyone’s business what someone else’s sexual preference is.

I have come across information on a chemical called Atrazine. Marketed as a broad leaf grass and weed killer and approved by the FDA it seems harmless enough. After all, we all love a green lawn don’t we?

Why am I talking about landscaping and homosexuality?

It has been shown in numerous studies that (Triazine) Atrazine, an endocrine disrupter, induces hermaphroditism and over time complete feminization and chemical castration in frogs. All Atrazine exposed males in the control groups had greatly reduced testosterone levels and noticeable demasculinization. It has also been linked to breast cancer and is scientifically noted as a carcinogen, which has been banned in the European Union.

Atrazine is one of the most widely used pesticides in the world. It is also marketed as Triazine. Approximately 80 million pounds are applied annually in the United States alone, and Atrazine is the most common pesticide contaminant of ground and surface water.

I know I am making a leap here (no frog pun intended) but we, as humans, are exposed to pesticides such as Atrazine without knowing it and without our consent many times. This, and many other chemicals end up in our tap water, the water we shower and bathe in…
In 1991, the US EPA established a Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for atrazine in drinking water of 3 parts per billion. Industrial chemicals are not tested for safety directly on humans. EPA contaminant levels are established by investigating toxic doses in animals. Human and environmental health advocates criticize this approach for ignoring chronic low-dose and multi-chemical exposures.

If this chemical is powerful enough to change the actual sex of a frog and it is in water we are exposed to and drink, I have to ask what is it doing to us as humans?

I have wondered many times what is happening to our society, as so many men seem to be becoming more and more feminine, softer, and more and more are coming out as transgender or gay. I had assumed that this was their natural state and they were just coming to a place of self-acceptance. But what if it isn’t actually happening naturally at all? What if these feelings and physical changes are being chemically induced without their knowledge or consent? Their very DNA being changed through the water supply.

Why on earth would the FDA or our Government allow this chemical in the water when they have these studies and see the results despite other countries banning it?

I am going to guess that this plays right into Agenda 21 and the New World Order. Population control becomes easy if you cannot reproduce and are sterile but even easier if you are chemically altering the males to be attracted to males vs. females, as there is no reproduction possible at all in a homosexual relationship.  Watch the scientist speak below about how he was forbidden to speak about his findings, and much more about this dangerous chemical we’re being exposed to.

THE UNCOVERED TRUTH ABOUT THE HISTORY OF LYNCHINGS IN AMERICA….

Published February 6, 2016 by sheezacoldpiece

The History Of Lynching In America Is Worse Than You Think, Says Study.  It always amazes me when people, especially black people, want to silence those of us that identify and remind us of our history in this country.  Much of that history is why we deal with the hardships we are dealing with today.  Some 500+ years later.  Yes, there was a time when a black person was hung in public for looking at a white person.  For bumping into a white person.  For not addressing a white person as “Mister” or “Ma’am”.  Now we are being executed for having a bag of skittles, or not putting our hands in the air fast enough.  To not know your history, is to be blind going into your future.  Read the research below in regards to study’s revealing the uncovered lynchings from our past.
Lynchings in which mobs raided jailhouses to hang, torture and burn alive black men, sometimes leading to public executions in courthouse squares, occurred more often in the U.S. South than was previously known, according to a report released on Tuesday.

The slightest transgression could spur violence, the Equal Justice Initiative found, as it documented 3,959 victims of lynching in a dozen Southern states.

The group said it found 700 more lynchings of black people in the region than had been previously reported. The research took five years and covered 1877 to 1950, the period from the end of post-Civil War Reconstruction to the years immediately following World War Two.

The report cited a 1940 incident in which Jesse Thornton was lynched in Alabama for not saying “Mister” as he talked to a white police officer.

In 1916, men lynched Jeff Brown for accidentally bumping into a white girl as he ran to catch a train, the report said.

Bryan Stevenson, founder and director of the Montgomery, Alabama-based EJI, said that while current events did not directly equate with lynching, “what happened then has its echoes in today’s headlines.”

He cited racial differences in reactions to last year’s shooting death of an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, by a white police officer.

The group said the report was aimed at spurring Americans to face the lasting impact of their history. It also would like to see historical markers placed across the South to note sites where lynchings occurred.

Calling the violence racial terror designed to subjugate black people through fear, Stevenson and his associates sought to catalog every lynching in 12 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

“The South is littered with monuments for the Civil War,” Stevenson said. “But we haven’t looked at the great evil of slavery. Its aftermath morphed into terrorism of lynching.”

“We as Americans haven’t dealt with our full history,” he added.

Sociology professor E.M. Beck of the University of Georgia agreed that past lynchings had affected perceptions of justice.

“Many white people look on the police as their protectors, defenders of their rights, and blacks can look at the same officers as part of a system sent to control and contain them,” he said.

MORE BRAZILIANS ARE IDENTIFYING WITH THEIR BLACK ROOTS…

Published February 5, 2016 by sheezacoldpiece

A new study reveals more Brazilians identify as Black or multiracial today than 10 years ago. While demographic shifts like this usually sound like they would be the result of birth rates and migration, it’s actually a reflection of something else.
The Brazilian Geographical and Statistics Institute reports that in their National Household Survey last year, 53 percent of Brazilians said they are Black or multiracial, up from 47.9 percent 10 years ago. Sociologists have been attributing this to shift in attitudes toward race in Brazil and increased education about the country’s history.
Brazil has a huge Afro-Brazilian population, descendants of the four million slaves brought to Brazil before the practice was abolished in 1888. Brazil, along with many other Latin American countries, has crafted narratives that overlook people of African descent, both culturally and demographically. Though most people have some African, native, and/or European heritage, there’s a history of emphasizing the latter, in that everyone is mixed but not black. Plenty of surveys have shown Brazilians in particular tend to claim a kaleidoscope of racial identities that translate to mixed, but stop short of acknowledging blackness.
According to El País, Katia Regis, an Afro-Brazilian studies coordinator, said, “The black population has more access to effective knowledge about African and Afro-Brazilian history to realize that being black is a positive thing.”
People have grown to appreciate the huge contributions African culture has made in Brazil, and they reflect that in how they identify. Samba, capoeira, and many Brazilian dishes have obvious African origins, and some of the most famous Brazilians in the world like Pelé and the bossa nova musician Gilberto Gil are Black.
Afro-Brazilians still face discrimination and their murder and poverty rates are significantly higher than white Brazilians, but this growing appreciation for blackness in Brazil indicates a rapid shift that many activists hope will transcend what people check on surveys.

“SUPER SOAKER” CREATOR RECEIVED ALMOST 73 MILLION IN UNPAID ROYALTIES FROM HASBRO…

Published February 5, 2016 by sheezacoldpiece

Did you know Mr. Lonnie Johnson created the “Super soaker” gun? Arguably the best water gun ever made.  It’s a shame it took years for this man to receive his funds off of his invention, yet not a shocker since the corporate hounds are known for lying, cheating, and scheming.  Here’s the story about this below…..
The Atlanta-based company behind the Super Soaker water gun and Nerf toy guns has been awarded nearly $73 million in royalties from toymaker Hasbro Inc., according to the law firm King & Spalding.

Johnson Research and Development Co. and founder Lonnie Johnson have been in a royalty dispute with Hasbro since February, when the company filed a claim against the giant toy company. According to King & Spalding, which along with the A. Leigh Baier P.C. law firm represented Johnson, Hasbro underpaid royalties for the Nerf line toys from 2007 to 2012.

“In the arbitration we got everything we asked for,” said Atlanta attorney Leigh Baier. “The arbitrator ruled totally in Lonnie’s favor.” The attorney also said Johnson “is very pleased” with the outcome.

Johnson could not be reached for comment Wednesday, nor could Pawtucket, RI.-based Hasbro.

The arbitration agreement resolves a 2001 inventors dispute in which Hasbro agreed to pay Johnson royalties for products covered by his Nerf line of toys, specifically the N-Strike and Dart Tag brands, King & Spalding attorney Ben Easterlin said.

In a separate breach of contract suit filed in U.S. District Court in Atlanta in February, Johnson accuses Hasbro of violating a 1996 agreement to pay him Super Soaker royalties of 2 percent for “three-dimensional products” based on the appearance of the toy and 1 percent for “two-dimensional visual representations.”

The suit says Hasbro sold water guns that were “visually similar and based upon the appearance of Super Soaker water guns that incorporate Johnson’s technology.” Johnson also wanted the court to force Hasbro to open its books to determine sales of Super Soaker products from 2006 to 2012.

Johnson, a nuclear engineer, Tuskegee University Ph.D. and former NASA scientist, founded his company in 1989. It was the same year he first licensed the Super Soaker, which generated more than $200 million in retail sales two years later, the company said. The toy was licensed to Larami Corp., which was later purchased by Hasbro.

Johnson holds more than 80 patents, with more than 20 pending, the company said, which said sales of the Super Soaker have approached nearly $1 billion.

As an Alabama high school senior, Johnson finished building a remote-controlled robot with a reel-to-reel tape player for a brain and jukebox solenoids controlling its pneumatic limbs, according to a 2008 profile in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

After graduating from Tuskegee he joined the Air Force, worked at the Air Force Weapons Laboratory at Sandia, worked for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab on the Galileo mission to Jupiter and the Mars Observer project, among others. He also helped design the Cassini robot probe that flew 740 million miles to Saturn

.

He moved to Atlanta in 1990 before his Super Soaker invention made him wealthy. His inventions have included rechargeable battery technology and thermodynamic energy conversion technology.
