Several sources are reporting that the record producer, and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Benzino, was shot during his mother’s funeral today in Boston. Below are details according to Boston.com

Both WCVB-TV and WHDH-TV are reporting that sources say Raymond Scott, the Boston-based rapper who goes by the name of Benzino, was allegedly shot by his nephew, Gai Scott, during the funeral procession for Benzino’s mother, Mary Scott, who passed away on March 20.

Part of Route 3 south was shut down Saturday afternoon after the shooting during the funeral procession on the highway.

WBZ-TV reports :

The District Attorney’s Office reported that a person driving a Bentley shot a driver in a red Dodge SUV. The victim, identified by Duxbury EMS as a man in his 40s, got out of his vehicle and received a ride to the Duxbury police station. From there, that victim was taken by EMS to South Shore Hospital. Police say he suffered non-life threatening injuries.
According to the Duxbury Police Department, the suspect was taken into custody shortly after the shooting. No other suspects are being sought.

Benzino is in my prayers along with his family at this time.  This type of nonsense between family is really crazy and very sad.  Whatever the situation is it’s never that serious to take someone’s life.
