May 27th Mariah will be opening the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, Monaco, where she will also receive the “Icon Award”. Mariah has sold over 200 Million albums and is the only solo recording artist with the most amount of #1 singles in America. Her new album is also scheduled for release later this month.
Congrats to Mariah, I’m sure the fans are looking forward to hearing the new album.

This is a FIRST, and it’s great, because Vogue got it right. Both ladies were stunning at the Met Gala, and seeing them in a picture together is great. Usually the media does the most to pit these two against each other but, both are superstars and different artist, so it’s unnecessary.

Only Diddy could manage being the first Howard University drop out to receive a “honorary” Doctorate degree. Here’s more on this story…
Sean Combs has finally collected that degree from Howard University — almost a quarter century after he dropped out of the school to pursue his dreams of being a music mogul. Diddy gave the commencement speech to the Class of 2014 and received an honorary doctorate degree. Howard President Wayne Frederick finessed the fact that Combs left the university in 1990 after only two years. “We are honored to have Mr. Combs serve as our speaker,” Frederick said in the statement. “He sat in classrooms where our students sit, walked ‘The Yard,’ and like many students, his entrepreneurial spirit was sparked at Howard.”
Also slated to get honorary degrees at the May 10 event are CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer; Clive Callender, a surgery professor at Howard’s medical school (and the first doctor to perform a transplant at Howard University Hospital); jazz artist Benny Golson; and PepsiCo chairman and chief executive Indra Nooyi.
The gig puts Combs in high-flying company: past Howard graduation speakers have included Oprah Winfrey, Hillary Clinton, Colin Powell and Maya Angelou.
Of course Diddy had plenty of friends and family there to witness this historic event….

Dr. DRE just made history by becoming the FIRST rapper to reach billionaire status by selling his “BEATS” to APPLE for 3.2 Billion dollars! 👀👀👀 Daaaaaaaamn DRE! This is beyond major for Dre and I just damn near coughed up a lung once I wrapped my head around how much money that is. Wowzers! Here’s the story according to TMZ:
Dr. Dre could be days away from being the first rapper turned BILLIONAIRE … thanks to a mega-deal for Apple to snatch up his Beats Electronics brand.
Apple will reportedly buy Beats for a whopping $3.2 BILLION — and since Dre and Interscope honcho Jimmy Iovine created the brand … it’s a safe bet they will walk away with a huge chunk of that cash.
Dre and Jimmy created the brand back in 2008 with headphones — but now they’re also making bank off speakers, car audio systems, and a streaming service.
The deal could close next week … and would be Apple’s biggest acquisition ever.
Dre came in #2 on Forbes’ most recent list of hip hop’s wealthiest artists — with a net worth of $550 million … while Diddy was #1 at $700 million.
The Apple deal — first reported by Variety — could easily push the Doc to the top of that list. This would also explain his purchase of Tom Brady’s mansion.

SoSo DEF’s Group “JAGGED EDGE” is coming back with a new album titled “Heartbreak2” the follow up album to their original debut album HeartBreak produced by Jermaine Dupri. Oh yes! I love love love this group. Soooo looking forward to the release of this album. It’s great they’re still together and on the road doing shows. Looking forward to hearing some new music from them, but for now I’ll watch this throwback joint from JE.

Oh boy *sigh* well it was her first live performance, so I’ll give her that. The song is okay, yet by watching you can tell she needs much more practice singing and performing live. She looked great and her dress was bangin which was by Just Dramatik. At the end of the song, she showed the crowd why BRAVO voted her the “Best Twerk” with an impromptu twerk session.
